As you may have heard, the Mayans predict that 2012 marks a huge transition point in our Earth’s evolution.  Many people have asked me what the wisdom and insight of the Mayan Elders and Star Beings tell us about 2012 and  what it will bring for us.
                                                       
Unfortunately there has been a lot of talk that 2012 is “the end of the Mayan Calendar” - often also implying the end of the world or some cataclysmic disaster.  None of the Mayan Elders or sources I know of believe this.  The 18 calendars of the Mayan’s amazing system of keeping time cover periods of millions of years and their natural cycles will be around as long as the Creation is.  So what do the Mayan Elders say? The Mayan calendar system identifies 2012 as the completion of one large 26,000-year cycle (associated with an astronomical cycle called the Precession of the Equinoxes).  As the current cycle ends, we will also begin a grand new one, which the Mayan wisdom calls The Age of Flowers. 

Interestingly, the Mayans are not the only culture to make such predictions. Indeed, indigenous elders worldwide - including the Hopi, Dogon, Peruvian, Tibetan and many others – have understood and visioned this time as one pregnant with remarkable transitional qualities.

A Rare Astronomical Event

The Mayans, being the brilliant astronomers that they are, base their predictions on a rare and amazing astronomical event.  For the several year period centered on December 21,  2012, our Sun exactly aligns itself with the core of our Milky Way Galaxy on the Winter Solstice day each year. Since the Galactic Core was seen in Mayan Cosmology as the home of the Creator, this means that we are receiving a very powerful input of galactic, spiritual energies through our Sun while in this 2012 window.  This alignment only takes place once in every 26,000 years, that is only once in each Precessional Cycle.  The rocks of our Mother Earth even hold the records of global and climactic changes that have changed our planet every 13,000 years or so, as we have reached the halfway points of this grand cosmic cycle. 

Warnings From the Past

Pioneer researchers such as John Michell and Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval have uncovered evidence that advanced civilizations of the past, such as Atlantis and Egypt, have experienced or were aware of these Earth events and left signs and signals coded into their ancient pyramids and sites to warn us of this upcoming transition time and to help us know how to prepare for it.  When people talk about the “photon belt” or the “zero point”,  I feel they are attempting to explain the large physical and energetic changes that happen when our home planet moves into the ‘beam’ of alignment with the powerful core of our spiraling Milky Way Galaxy.

What Can We Do?

So, if all the signs point to the fact that we are, indeed, in the midst of a global turning of the ages time, then the questions are – what will the transition be like and what can we do about it?  I think there have been few topics that have generated more fear than talk of “Earth changes” and “pole shifts” and other such cataclysmic theories. 

When we turn to the wisdom of the Mayan Elders with these questions, their answer is always the same. They say that how we on Earth will experience the coming transition is up to us humans.  We are the key. We are the beings who link Spirit and Matter.  So we have a choice.  We can prepare our chalice (our bodies, emotions, mind and soul) so that we can hold the powerful stream of higher frequency energy that is already starting to pour into us from our Creator in the Galactic Core.

If enough humans do this, we will act as a transformer that steps down this Galactic Energy so that our Gaia Earth-Mother’s body and being can joyfully take it in and digest it smoothly. Or we can ignore the messages and continue to focus on small selfish goals and damage our Earth Mother even further, and thereby force her to create a healing crisis and a very rough transition for us all.  So the answer to the future lies in the hands and in the heart of each one of us, as human beings. Will we, will you, make the choice and do the work to step into our human destiny as Beings of Love and Freedom?

Stand in Your Light

The scope of this transition can seem a bit daunting sometimes. But please hear the ancient ones and your loving Spirit guides as they tell you – do not get caught in feeling powerless or helpless. This is not the time for escalating your fears or being caught in pessimism or despair.  When you fall into a space of fear or hopelessness, then that is exactly what you are radiating out into your world.  Then you become a source of even more heavy, restrictive energies and you are only adding to the problem. 

Instead, make the choice to stand in Love, and in the Light - in Your Light.  If you were to do nothing more in the next few years than to truly hold a space as a beacon of shining Spirit Light and as a compassionate heart of Christ-like Love, you would have given a gift of priceless worth to aid our Earth in her unfolding. 

Just Do Your Piece !

Also, know that you are not being asked to do it all – to save the world single- handedly.  No one could possibly do that. All that you have to do is your piece – whatever it is that your soul agreed to do when you came here for this life. That piece can be as seemingly simple as being a support in the lives of a few children or touching several other human hearts with the caring and wisdom you have gained in your soul walk.

The Mayan people lived in Mexico and Central America several thousand years ago.  They have left us a legacy of beautiful stone cities and pyramids, complex hieroglyphic writing and an understanding of astronomy and time that amazes scientists and archeologists alike.  About 3 million Mayan people still live in their jungle homes today, but many of the ancient Mayans disappeared from their stone cities about 900 AD in a mysterious fashion.

For the Mayans, the home of Spirit, or of our Creator, is in the very heart of our spiraling Milky Way Galaxy - in the galactic core itself.  So the essence of the Mayan’s teaching, their sacred calendar in 13:20 ratio, allows us to connect directly with the source of spiritual energy that comes to our Earth from our Galactic Core, by way of our Sun.

The Faces of the Creator

This means that the Mayan Calendar describes the spiritual energy of any particular day of your life.  The 20 Daykeepers (the glyphs or symbols of the calendar) are called by the Mayans “the 20 faces of the Creator”. The glyphs represent the Spirit qualities that our Creator is sending to us on our Earth for each day. The 20 Daykeepers include symbols such as the Sun, the Moon, the Dog, the Monkey, the Hand, and the Storm that represent Spirit qualities such as Love, Joy, Sacred Work, Abundance, Compassion, Vision and so on.
